My stay at Balam Playa was quite disappointing. The location was decent, but the service and room quality were lacking. While the pool had a nice view, it was overshadowed by the hard beds and poor communication from the staff.

My stay at Balam Playa was a mixed bag, to say the least. On one hand, the bed was super comfy, and I appreciated having a fridge in my room and the fact that it was close to the ferry port. But, man, the service left a lot to be desired. The reception staff were downright rude, and the overall upkeep of the place was lacking—a broken toilet seat and old sheets just didn’t cut it for me.
